Uni Revue 2020: ScoMo Inferno (Cancelled)
(Almost) Directed by Nick Paine
The first Uni Revue to ever be cancelled, ScoMo Inferno was a victim of the COVID19 pandemic.
ScoMo Inferno was in the first weeks of production when cancelled, with auditions completed and rehearsals started. The show was to be based on the devastating bushfires, including a pledge to donate $5 from every ticket to the local Tasmanian firefighters. The show went through pre-production right up to casting and even had a rehearsal or two at Letitia Street before the fateful day the committee came together and made the tough decision to cancel the show in anticipation of widespread lockdowns. That foresight proved valuable, as the Tasmanian lockdown was announced inside the week following.

Burn, baby, burn!
When launching ScoMo Inferno, we decided to kick things off by producing a music video to announce the show. This was written and produced by Justin Smith, and features Simon Andrews as ScoMo himself, with Jaen Wilson and H.K. Vermeulen as backup dancers.
