Victoria Croall
Vikki’s Old Nick career has been like many others, travelling from treading the boards to the board of directors; but it has been the level of commitment and time invested that earned her a life membership. A committee member serving as secretary and Senior Vice President, her commanding presence has often kept things on the straight and narrow. Her contributions especially to the Summer School and Uni Revue have been vitally important to the efficient and effective running of those programmes, and as an overseer she has no peer.

David Rish
Having been conscripted into occasional playreadings by his father, David’s Old Nick career could possibly date back to 1962. He saw his first Revue at age ten, so when he started at Uni he was keen to audition for Goughspell, directed by the mighty Pat H. David went on to do five revues, sit on the committee, and submit plenty of one-act plays. David and Pam Buxton-Barber ran an Old Nick children’s theatre group. Their proudest moment was getting then Union President Duncan Kerr to play a donkey. (Doubt that appears on his c.v.)
Moving away after graduating, he won the inaugural Ian Reed Fellowship for Radio Dramatists and had eight radio plays produced by the ABC. Wrote eight published novels for children. After doing an adult ed class with Gavin Baskerville a few years back, David occasionally attempted stand-up on the Hobart circuit.
Harvey Wallbangers for ever.

Darren Sangwell
Darren directed the Hobart Theatre Summer School productions for over 10 years. He was committee member and Production Chair for even longer. His contribution to Old Nick goes beyond that – directing or production managing a number of plays and musicals for the company. His proudest Old Nick moment was directing the 2008 Uni Revue - Kevin 007 featuring the Moonah Mardi Gras that made the front page of the Mercury, and almost landed us a lawsuit!

Aron Webb
Aron’s talents behind the scenes have been crucial in Old Nick’s twenty-teens, where in addition to providing gorgeous lighting designs for many of our shows, his broad technical expertise and knowledge kept productions running smoothly. Always available to provide assistance with technical documentation, procedural questions, equipment repairs and more, Aron’s contributions may appear somewhat invisible but they have been incredibly valuable.

John Xintavelonis
Prominent and prolific Tasmanian actor and producer John X is a household name. From his comedy roots doing the likes of Uni Revue and X Wellington Wellington X; to a career in musical theatre including national productions of shows like The Lion King; to producing major musicals including Rock of Ages and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, John is an inescapable force of Tasmanian stage. Short films, television, feature films, pro-am plays, professional plays, wrangling firearms, crooning at Wrest Point, MCing — there is virtually no part of the profession he hasn’t touched. Somehow amongst all this he also served on Old Nick’s committee, and has had a long association with the company.
