Set to the backdrop of 1930’s New York, Guys & Dolls is a romantic comedy for the ages following the stories of two unlikely pairs. First is the notorious high-rolling gambler Sky Masterson who tries to win the heart of the idealistic & puritanical missionary Sarah Brown. Then there's showgirl Miss Adelaide, star of the Hot Box club, who dreams of the straight-and-narrow, and her long-time fiancé and crap game manager Nathan Detroit, who's anything but!
Desperate for money to host his next craps game, Nathan makes a bet with Sky that he can’t take Sarah Brown on a date to Havana. Not one to turn down a bet, Sky accepts, promising Sarah a dozen genuine sinners if she agrees to the date. Sarah, whose mission is on the brink of being closed due to a lack of recruits, is tempted by the offer and eventually gives in. Meanwhile, Adelaide is frustrated with Nathan, her fiancé of 14 years and the fact they’re not yet married. She confesses to writing to her mother claiming to already be married with five children, but Nathan refuses to quit hosting craps games, continuing to put his gambling habits first.
